CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES AT DMC:

Dayton Mills is seeking a Full-time Project Coordinator to join our team in Delta, B.C.

The successful candidate will be a diligent person, of strong ethical character with a high level of energy and a commitment to service excellence.
Under the direction of a Project Manager, you will organize, administer, and control project activities while collaborating with Superintendents to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project aspects, including scheduling, timekeeping, labour/equipment/purchase-order coding.
  • Assist and maintain project cost reports, status (expediting) reports, document/drawing controls.
  • Manage & coordinate Issue Management (RFI’s, CCN’s CO’s, etc.,), vendor, and owner logs, tracking responses and advising stakeholders.
  • Organize and issue reports for site, trade, and owner meetings (in-person or via Zoom).
  • Coordinate project documentation, including CCNs, Change Orders, Progress Claims, and Field Notices.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections (requires a valid driver’s license and ability to travel).

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma in Architectural and/or Building Technology with an emphasis on Project Controls.
  • 2 – 5 years in similar position.
  • Construction vocational training or related field experience is an asset.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting and visualizing architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical prints and schematics.
  • Strong English communication skills (a second language is an asset).
  • Valid First Aid certificate is an asset.
  • Ability to work within and outside of the Lower Mainland.
  • Handling and executing reports, tasks, etc., consistently, within deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salary based on experience and education.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, varying office hours of 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
