CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES AT DMC:

Permanent, Full-time Project Coordinator, in Delta, BC

The Project Coordinator will be of strong, ethical character with a great work ethic and energy complimenting the service Dayton Mills provides to its clients, trades, staff and suppliers. You are responsible to organize, administer and control project activities, under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will support and collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in overseeing and managing their assigned projects.

The Tasks:

  • Assist in management of all aspects of projects, including scheduling and completion of activities relating to timekeeping, labour coding, equipment coding, purchase-order coding, and safety reporting.
  • Set up and maintain project cost reports, status reports, document & drawing control, shop drawings.
  • Maintain logs (RFI, Vendor/Subcontractor, Purchases, Owner etc.), track responses and advise stakeholders.
  • Organize and issue Site, Trade & Owner Meetings and reports (in person or Zoom)
  • Coordination and issuance/expediting of project documentation; CCN’s Change Orders/Site Instructions, Owner’s Instructions, Draft Progress Claims, Field Notices, Waste Management, Erosion and Sediment Control and Materials Testing.
  • Assist estimating in tendering, budgets, Contract documents and Scheduling, preparation of tender documents, Trade/Supplier analysis and contract documents
  • Ability to drive and travel to sites and physical able to access for inspections and reporting.
  • Ability to work in and outside of the lower Mainland of BC

Education:

Architectural and/or Building Technology with strong emphasis on Project Controls
Construction Vocational or related field experience is an asset

Experience Required:

2 – 5 years in similar position

Abilities:

  • Able to read Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical prints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • First aid certificate is considered an asset.
  • Language of work: English, 2nd language maybe an asset
